When I think of the word "adventurous," I think of people who I've known who will drop anything and everything to do what I consider highly dangerous things: go trekking in the Amazon, for example. Or bungee jump. Or go on a shark dive. Or parasail.
For the record, I am not one of these people.

To Trust or not to trust?

Ah my friends,
Sometimes it’s so hard to go on believing in the human race. Every day we see the bad things on a global scale that make us think that there is no good left in humanity. Every day we see injustice, heinous crimes, wars… the list is never ending. We also see the little things, husbands that are unfaithful, friends that stab their friends in the back, neighbors gossiping…. And we wonder, what happened to us? How can we be so insensitive to the needs of others? And we know that when we say WE, we’re really thinking THEM, right?

Not too long ago I stumbled across this article about a guy who streaked across a football field firing red roses like Cupid in an attempt to impress his girlfriend. She decided he was a freak and bailed on the relationship. Plus, he got all kinds of criminal charges levied on him.

So here I am, on the verge of my 40 something birthday and wondering what, if anything I have learned in all these times I circumvented the solar system. Imagine that I’ve travelled (sometimes in total inactivity!) almost 24 billion miles. And where have I gotten to?

Have you ever considered the fact that regrets are a useless waste of our time, emotions and energies? Really, think about it. Think about the worst mistake you ever made. Think about how you really hurt someone you love, or how you let a golden, once in a lifetime opportunity pass you by, or how you messed up your life so badly you didn’t even recognize yourself in the mirror. Now tell me, how good does it do you or anyone else when you wallow in the depths of regret? No one! Certainly not anyone that got hurt, and most of all not you!

Bingo players everywhere are making the change from the halls to the sites all the time.
