A life without regrets

No Regrets

Have you ever considered the fact that regrets are a useless waste of our time, emotions and energies? Really, think about it. Think about the worst mistake you ever made. Think about how you really hurt someone you love, or how you let a golden, once in a lifetime opportunity pass you by, or how you messed up your life so badly you didn’t even recognize yourself in the mirror. Now tell me, how good does it do you or anyone else when you wallow in the depths of regret? No one! Certainly not anyone that got hurt, and most of all not you!

See, the way I see it is that you did something wrong, and most likely life already punished you for it, so why continue to beat yourself down over it? I do believe that if you’re human and you’ve got a conscience you will feel a certain amount of regret when you mess up. That’s normal. That’s even good. Regret at this stage will ensure you will not make the mistake again, but an endless, pointless carrying on, regretting things long past over and over again only burden us with extra, completely useful emotions that are very destructive.

So come on, let go of all that regret you carry, let go of the burden and make some space that you can fill with nice, happy feelings. Think of the you inside as a closet, if you fill it up of negative stuff you’ll only end up with less space for the goodies life has for you. So go ahead and give yourself permission to discard regrets and make it a bit easier on yourself!

See you soon!
